We are proud to support CFW
Colin and Linda have farmed Culdees, in the beautiful Strathearn valley, since our marriage in 1985. Sheep came on to the scene
approximately 3 years later when we went to buy a horse and came back with 50 ewes and 10 ewe lambs that we fell in love with! Since then, our Texel x flock has risen to around 400 ewes and 80 hogs, with a variety of other breeds moving in over the last few years, including Matilda, the inspiration for our logo.
This is a photo of us, the day I brought home my spinning wheel. And the seed of Starthearn Fleece & Fibre was sown.......
Since then, we have continued to develop our range of products. Working with a wonderful traditional mill in the UK, we now have lace-weight to super-chunky, in the choice of both natural and hand-dyed.
