Strathearn Wool Studio is the hub of Strathearn Fleece & Fibre. This is where you can browse our range of fleece, dyed fibres and yarns, enjoy a woolly chat or just relax in an oasis of calm.
It is also the location of our workshops and spinning group.
The spinning group is held fortnightly, Wednesday 10.30-12.30pm. If you would like to come along with your wheel/drop spindle and spin in company, just contact us. No charge.
We are open every Tuesday and Friday 11-5pm. Other days by prior arrangement. We are on the A822, one mile south of Muthill. Turn into the farm when you see our sign.
We arrange a variety of visits to groups/ clubs/organisations.
Come along and see our working collies Shug, Nell and Mist in action, learn about the process from field to needles, sheep breeds (and a few other farm animals), husbandry and take part in a craft taster session.
The morning begins with tea/coffee & home baking followed by a sheepdog demo and talk on Fleece to Spun Yarn. After lunch, the group participates in a workshop (various choices) using the fibres from our farm and makes a take-home creation.
All materials, lunch and refreshments included. Cost £20 per head.
