It is also the location of our workshops and spinning group. The spinning group is held fortnightly, Wednesday 10.30-12.30pm. If you would like to come along with your wheel/drop spindle and spin in company, just contact us. No charge. We are open every Tuesday and Friday 11-5pm. Other days by prior arrangement. We are on the A822, one mile south of Muthill. Turn into the farm when you see our sign.

We arrange a variety of visits to groups/ clubs/organisations. Come along and see our working collies Shug, Nell and Mist in action, learn about the process from field to needles, sheep breeds (and a few other farm animals), husbandry and take part in a craft taster session. Day Visit The morning begins with tea/coffee & home baking followed by a sheepdog demo and talk on Fleece to Spun Yarn. After lunch, the group participates in a workshop (various choices) using the fibres from our farm and makes a take-home creation. All materials, lunch and refreshments included. Cost £20 per head.
1/2 Day Visit Choose from sheepdog demo or talk on Sheep to Yarn and moni-workshop. All materials and tea/coffee/cake included. Cost £10 per head. Each visit is tailored to the requirements of the individual group. Please contact us for further information. An interesting and interactive woolly time guaranteed! It is policy for us not to take photos during visits, as we believe the time is best spent with visitors. However, participants are free to take photos.

You will be working with our home grown fibres/yarns at each of the workshops. A fantastic day whether you are local or visiting the area.
Natural Dyeing

Afternoon: Fixing and modifying dyes to fibres and yarns

Introduction to Hand Spinning
Learn the basics of spinning yarn from fibre. Using Ashford spinning wheels, you will learn the creative and relaxing art of producing yarn from a variety of Strathearn fibres.
